ROLE SUMMARY

This is a Hybrid position based at our location in either Gastonia, NC, or Raleigh, NC.

The Program Manager - Industrial leads complex, multi-project programs to achieve business objectives and customer outcomes. The role integrates Project Managers, cross-functional teams, suppliers, customers, and stakeholders through a consolidated program roadmap. Accountabilities include delivery, governance, financial and business-case achievement, resources, risk, strategic customer relationships, and executive communication. The role provides functional direction and mentoring to Project Managers without normal supervisory authority, and reports directly to the Manager, PMO of Industrial Americas Business Unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate strategy, customer commitments, and business cases into program objectives, governance, and integrated plans
  • Maintain multi-project roadmaps, schedules, milestones, resources, dependencies, and performance indicators
  • Align decisions and priorities to revenue, cost, profitability, quality, timing, customer, and strategic objectives
  • Guide and mentor Project Managers; set expectations for planning, reporting, risk, change control, and escalation
  • Coordinate cross-project priorities, resources, and deliverables; resolve conflicts and escalate key decisions
  • Serve as program-level customer contact and escalation point; lead executive reviews and strategic discussions
  • Own program budgets, resource utilization, forecasts, capital, profitability, and business-case performance; address variances
  • Establish governance, review cadences, decision forums, and integrated executive reporting
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and changes; lead mitigation, corrective-action, and recovery plans
  • Prioritize capacity needs with functional and PMO leaders; recommend staffing, sequencing, or outsourcing
  • Apply lessons learned and performance trends to improve delivery and PMO practices 

CORE CAPABILITIES

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle conflicts/challenges as they arise, and shift to support the changing needs of the business
  • Advanced program management, planning, scheduling, resource, risk, change-control, and governance skills
  • Business acumen in budgeting, forecasting, profitability, product cost, and business-case analysis
  • Executive communication, customer management, facilitation, negotiation, influence, and decision-making
  • Knowledge of New Product Development, phase-gate, and xSEP or comparable methods; familiarity with ERP, MRP, PLM, and portfolio systems 

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Operations, or a related discipline 

Experience:

  • 6+ years of progressive project- or program-management experience, including leadership of multiple related projects
  • Experience integrating schedules, resources, finances, risks, dependencies, business cases, and governance
  • Experience in manufacturing, product development, sourcing, quality, supply chain, or operations 

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated indirect leadership experience and skills leading executive, customer, and steering-committee discussions 
  • Excellent English verbal, writtenand presentation skillls
  • Flexibility to adjust, adapt, manuever and think quickly in providing pragmatic and effective solutions as needed to changing needs in the business in what can sometimes be considered a fluid environment
  • Experience in manufacturing, product development, sourcing, quality, supply chain, or operations
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic/international) with occasional support outside normal business hours 

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • MBA, advanced degree, PMP, PgMP, portfolio-management, or comparable certification
  • Filtration, engineered-products, or industrial-manufacturing experience working with global customers, suppliers, or sites
